Cedar Cove

Nestled in a little-known valley between the ridge-lines of the Allegheny and Appalachian Mountains, and just a few miles from one of the oldest rivers in the world, Cedar Cove consists of over 100 secluded acres of open hills and dense forest, laced with caves, springs and streams.

Endowed with a variety of marvelous old trees, plus ample spots for secret hideaways and daily collations, Cedar Cove casts a delightful spell over those who can pause to share its riches.

Natural, Magical, Environmental...

These were the three key terms in our design criteria as we set out to establish a living/working home for The Institute for Earth Education. It is a place where our volunteer staff come together to work on new programs or just to recharge and find out what's happening with our work. Cedar Cove provides a focal point for members, a training centre for leaders, and a practicum site for the "gnomes" who make everything we do a reality.
